According to Keogh, Scout Motors is planning to unveil both the electric pickup truck and SUV simultaneously later this year. He expressed confidence that the design for each vehicle was nearing finalization, hinting at an exciting reveal for EV enthusiasts. Keogh also emphasized that after the unveiling, there would be minimal adjustments to the vehicles, ensuring that what is shown is a true representation of what will enter production by late 2026.
Describing the upcoming vehicles, Keogh teased, “It’s gonna be a car with character. It’s gonna be a car with personality. It’s gonna be a car that’s not an optimized jelly bean,” though he did not specify which EV he was referring to.

During the event, Scout Motors also hinted at the pricing of its electric SUV. While last March, the estimated price was $40,000, the company now mentions plans for a $50,000 electric SUV. Commentators at the event suggested that the design of the electric SUV might pay homage to classic models like the Scout II, blending nostalgia with modern innovation.
Christian Vollmer, a member of Volkswagen’s extended executive committee, commented, “While we are honoring the hard-working heritage and the soul of Scout, we are ready for the future when it comes to production and technology,” highlighting the company’s commitment to balancing tradition with innovation.
