Parkopedia Partners with ChargeHub to Integrate EV Charging Network into Payment Platform

Parking service provider Parkopedia has entered into a partnership with North American EV roaming hub operator ChargeHub to integrate ChargeHub’s network of 80,000 charging stations across the US and Canada into Parkopedia’s payment platform. This collaboration enables in-car charger activations and payments through a single sign-on account on participating Charge Site Operators (CSOs).

The integration aims to enhance the charging experience for EV drivers, providing them with direct access to charging points across North America through their vehicles. The partnership leverages Parkopedia’s expertise in parking and charging data, dynamic availability information, and charging transactions for EV drivers.

ChargeHub CEO Simon Ouellette expressed pride in offering EV drivers an improved charging experience through the combination of Parkopedia’s parking and charging data with ChargeHub’s roaming hub. He emphasized ChargeHub’s position as a preferred partner for e-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs) seeking a full turnkey integration with the largest pool of CSOs in the US and Canada.

This collaboration follows a trend in the industry, with ChargeHub previously enabling roaming integration between SWTCH Energy and the Electric Circuit in 2022, expanding charging networks in the USA and Canada. Parkopedia, known for its global parking services, also partnered with Plugsurfing in Europe in mid-2023.

The integration of ChargeHub’s extensive charging network into Parkopedia’s payment platform aligns with the broader efforts to streamline and improve the charging experience for electric vehicle users in North America.
