Lucid Teases Exclusive Lucid Air Midnight Dream Edition Ahead of IAA Mobility Show

Lucid Motors has offered a tantalizing glimpse of its upcoming Lucid Air Midnight Dream Edition, set to make its world debut at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich on September 5. This limited-production model takes inspiration from the darkness of night, boasting a sinister styling theme that sets it apart. It’s essentially a variant of the Lucid Air Dream Edition, but with an exclusive twist.

The Lucid Air Midnight Dream Edition sports a distinctive dark polished exterior trim and rolls on 21-inch Aero Dream wheels featuring satin black inserts. Inside, its cabin exudes an ambiance inspired by the nocturnal beauty of the Mojave Desert.

Notably, the Lucid Air Dream Edition, which gained immense popularity in the United States and was completely sold out by 2021, is no longer available in the U.S. The Air Midnight Dream Edition, therefore, is exclusively destined for the European market, making it a sought-after addition for European luxury electric vehicle enthusiasts.

Lucid is making bold claims about the car’s performance and efficiency. It is said to offer an impressive combined range of up to 496 miles (799 kilometers) on the WLTP test cycle, coupled with a combined power consumption of 16.6 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers.

European customers have already had a taste of Lucid’s prowess, with the EV maker commencing deliveries of the Air Dream Edition in December 2022, available in two variants: the 933-horsepower Range and the 1,111-horsepower Performance. This premium offering had a starting price of 218,000 euros in Germany, equivalent to approximately $235,500. However, the Dream Edition’s limited production run has already been fully allocated, leaving eager buyers with no more availability.

While pricing details for the Lucid Air Midnight Dream Edition remain undisclosed, it’s expected to command a premium due to its exclusivity and unique design elements. Visitors to the IAA Mobility Show can get an up-close look at this extraordinary model at Lucid’s Studio in Munich, located at Odeonsplatz 2. However, access will initially be restricted to media and invited guests on September 5 and 6. Starting September 7, the Studio will open its doors to the public for a firsthand view of the Air Midnight Dream Edition.

In addition to its permanent Studio in Munich, Lucid will also establish a pop-up Studio at Königsplatz 1 in the city, where the European premiere of the Air Pure will take place. Visitors will have the opportunity to take short test drives of Lucid’s more accessible model on a nearby street, further enhancing the Lucid experience for European customers.
