The All-electric Fisker Ocean is inching closer to reaching customers, and new details have emerged regarding the delivery timeline for American buyers. A recent email from the company confirmed that global deliveries are set to commence next month, with production of units bound for the United States picking up momentum between May and June of this year.

Fisker is currently on the cusp of securing full-scale regulatory approval from multiple nations. Earlier this month, the Ocean received certification in Europe, boasting an impressive range of 440 miles (707 km) based on WLTP testing protocols. In the United States, the vehicle is expected to offer a maximum range of 350 miles (563 km) according to EPA standards.

However, previous estimations regarding the ramp-up of US model production have been revised. Initially, Fisker had announced plans to commence the ramp-up process in early May. Yet, a recent email obtained by Fiskerati.com reveals a new timeline indicating that the process is now estimated to begin between late May and June.

One plausible explanation for the revised timeline could be the brand’s wait for necessary approvals before initiating production of US-bound vehicles. Earlier this month, Henrik Fisker expressed a desire to avoid incurring costs related to vehicle storage while awaiting approvals.

With the introduction of larger windows of time, Fisker might indeed begin the ramp-up process in early May if the awaited approval arrives sooner than expected. Simultaneously, the company announced its first deliveries in Europe on May 5th.

The email further stated that Fisker aims to deliver all Ocean Ones (Launch Edition) by the end of September. Reports indicate that several mid-trim level all-wheel drive Ocean Ultras, as well as a few front-wheel drive Ocean Sports base models, have already been produced. This development brings hope to US-based Ocean customers who reserved the vehicle as early as 2020.

As anticipation builds, Fisker Ocean enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of their much-anticipated electric SUVs, with production efforts gaining momentum in the coming months.
