Tesla will hold its 2023 Investor Day on March 1, 2023 at Gigafactory Tesla. The event will be streamed live and some institutional and retail investors will be invited to attend in person.

“We plan to host Tesla’s 2023 Investor Day on March 1, 2023. The event will be live streamed from our Gigafactory Texas, with the option for some of our institutional and retail investors to attend in person (details to follow). Our investors will be able to see our most advanced production line as well as discuss long term expansion plans, generation 3 platform, capital allocation and other subjects with our leadership team.” Tesla Ā said in aĀ new press release
It is possible that Tesla will announce the location of a new Gigafactory at the event or in its Q4 2022 earnings call. In the past, there has been speculation about the possibility of Tesla building Gigafactories in Canada and Mexico.
Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science, and Industry, FranƧois-Philippe Champagne, has had meetings with Tesla and other automakers, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has visited Nuevo Leon, Mexico to speak with local leaders about the potential for an EV manufacturing location in the region.
The generation 3 vehicle platform is expected to be a topic of discussion at Tesla’s 2023 Investor Day event. This platform was previously mentioned during the company’s Q3 2022 earnings call, where an investor asked about the anticipated cost reduction of goods sold (COGS) with the introduction of the third vehicle platform. The company had previously experienced a 50% reduction in COGS when it transitioned from the Model S/X to the Model 3/Y.
