The KIA EV6 GT is the top variant of the EV6, and carries today’s technology. The design of the EV6 GT represents something of a departure in the all-electric crossover class, with a distinctive and impactful exterior complete with subtle high-tech features.

Influencing all aspects of the EV6 GT’s styling is Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, which draws inspiration from the contrasts found in nature and humanity.

The design principle of the ‘Power to Progress’ philosophy closely matches the sporty character of the GT by expressing the power and dynamic speed of the crossover alongside elements of contrast, resulting in a truly innovative aesthetic.

Up front, the Kia EV6 GT immediately creates a timeless visual impression. Kia’s signature ‘Digital Tiger Face’ includes adaptive LED headlamps and dynamic sequential turn indicators, while the muscular fenders and new clamshell bonnet featuring character stripes accentuate the look of the powerful EV6 GT. A new front bumper, unique to the GT, helps to accentuate the vehicle’s width and stable stance.

The EV6 GT’s aerodynamic side profile features a series of prominent character lines that add strength and definition, while the ‘swift’ roofline and sloping C-pillars create a sleek crossover silhouette.

The vehicle’s sporty character is also communicated through a set of 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels unique to the Kia EV6 GT, while striking neon brake calipers signal the incredible braking power. At the rear, an aero spoiler, flashy LED taillights and a unique bumper and diffuser complete the GT’s transformation.

The EV6 GT features a cabin that combines sportiness with comfort and practicality. Passengers are greeted by a set of bucket seats upholstered in suede that provide full support for an enthusiastic ride, as well as long-distance comfort for long journeys.

Metal inserts bearing the ‘GT’ moniker and neon green piping add to the upholstery’s contemporary and technical look. The entire cabin is outfitted with premium materials, while sports-inspired touches create a meaningful atmosphere. Striped motifs adorn the upper fascia and front center armrest, while ambient lighting on the door panels, center console and dashboard of the GT provides a relaxing glow for nighttime driving.

The dual curved 12.3-inch infotainment display delivers all driving, connectivity and entertainment functions in razor-sharp clarity, and the simple form language of the widescreen and horizontally aligned dashboard gives the interior a luxurious, high-tech feel.

The ergonomic two-spoke steering wheel includes a new dedicated GT Drive Mode selector, allowing drivers to easily access and customize their driving experience.

The electric powertrain alone means the EV6 GT is a car that’s basically quiet in operation, even at higher speeds. With no sound coming from the internal combustion engine, Kia’s engineering team worked hard to drown out noise that would otherwise go unnoticed. However, to give the driver and passengers a heightened sense of the car’s performance capabilities, the EV6 GT features Active Sound Design which provides augmentation of selected sounds through the standard-compliant Meridian high-performance audio system. Residents can adjust the character and volume of the sound produced to suit their preferences.

The interior benefits from implementing Kia’s special electric vehicle architecture, E-GMP. Despite the Kia EV6 GT’s compact exterior dimensions, the 2,900 mm wheelbase and flat floor result in a cabin space similar to that of many mid-size SUVs, providing excellent long-distance touring capabilities. The EV6 GT offers smart and flexible interior packaging and ample cabin storage space, including 480 liters of luggage space (VDA) with second row seats installed – ideal for family trips. With the second row seats folded, the storage capacity increases to 1,260 liters. This car is also equipped with a front trunk that provides an additional 20 liters of storage space.

The high-performance, high-tech dual-motor powertrain of the EV6 GT has been specially designed to deliver a powerful and progressive driving experience. Drive is channeled to all four wheels to optimize traction and smoothly transfer power, even in the most challenging weather conditions.

The front-wheel-mounted motor is the same as that found in the standard AWD EV6, producing 160 kW (215 hp) at 4,400 to 9,000 rpm. Then at the rear there is also an electric motor powered by 270 kW (362 hp) at 6,800 to 9,400 rpm, to produce a combined power output of 430 kW (577 hp) and 740 Nm of torque.

The total power output of the EV6 GT is an astonishing 80% higher than the next most powerful EV6 variant, the dual-motor AWD model, which has 239 kW / 320 hp of power and 605 Nm of torque (front and rear motors combined).

Power and traction delivered by the dual motors, the all-wheel drive layout of the Kia EV6 GT allows for truly scintillating performance. The GT can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 3.5 seconds, making it the fastest Kia ever and reaching a top speed of 260kph.
