Honda Motor Co launched the second model of its new line of electric vehicles (EVs) marketed only in China, Saturday, November 5, 2022. The model dubbed the e:N2 Concept debuted at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai starting today.

Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe said in an official statement that the e:N2 Concept represents the value of the e:N Series, which will redefine the joy of electric vehicles for consumers. “In China, Honda will continue to present its unique range of electric mobility products and our rebirth into an electric mobility brand,” said Mibe.

The exterior design of the e:N2 Concept features sharp and dynamic body lines and surface finishes that accentuate the metallic look to bring a new style in an electric vehicle. The interior is designed with the aim of embodying the value of this electric vehicle as a “space” where passengers can enjoy “intellectual excitement.”

To this end, a clean and tidy digital cockpit is adopted, and intelligent passenger friendliness will be offered with the latest Honda CONNECT features as well as effective lighting presentations.

In China, Honda will launch electric vehicles under a new brand with local partners, GAC and Dongfeng, in the next five years.

Previously, Honda had planned to launch 30 electric vehicle models globally and produce around 2 million electric vehicles per year by 2030.
