The Hyundai Ioniq 6 will soon be launched in the UK in a special variant, namely “First Edition”. A number of distinctive design elements make the First Edition stand out from the regular Ioniq 6. For example, the new model is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels complete in matte black, gloss black molding on the front, sides and rear, as well as gloss black mirror caps.
Four exterior color options will be available, namely Biophillic Blue Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Gray Metallic, and Gravity Gold Matte.
The unique touch applied to the Ioniq 6 First Edition continues to the cabin which includes a black interior with a black headliner. The seats are wrapped in a special Gray Tartan fabric inspired by the Hyundai Propechy EV concept. A unique rug with Gray Tartan highlights will also be present.
Hyundai Motor UK said the Ioniq 6 will be sold in “limited” numbers but has not specified how many will be produced. But what we do know is that reservations will open on November 9 and customers can redeem the Ioniq 6 First Edition by paying £54,995 for the EV.
Managing Director of Hyundai Motor UK, Ashley Andrew, revealed that the IONIQ 6 has received a very positive response from customers and the media through its combination of sleek, sporty and futuristic design, as well as the impressive long-range performance of the EV.
“The IONIQ 6 First Edition will present customers with not only unique specifications but also the opportunity to own one of the first models to reach the UK.”
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 will also be sold in Premium and Ultimate variants in the UK but details and pricing for those variants have yet to be announced.
The Ioniq 6 First Edition is equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery that powers a pair of electric motors that produce a combined 320 hp and 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of torque. The car’s E-GMP platform has an 800 volt architecture that supports 350 kW charging.
