Tesla is again taking orders for the Model S and Model X from European consumers after closing production of the Model S and Model X in January 2021 to upgrade both vehicles.
Tesla took the decision to stop taking orders outside of North America from December 2021. That means Europe has been short of those models ever since.
But now Tesla is again accepting orders for the two cars, starting from the Plaid variant. Shipments for new orders will begin between December 2022 and February 2023.

It is likely that Tesla will ship the car first to those who have pre-ordered it since January 2021 and then ship the new one.
Tesla says the long-range Model S and Model X will be available in 2023. Resuming orders in Europe has the potential to increase the wait for the Model S and X in North America, where the car is currently quite stuck.
Estimated delivery of the Model X Plaid is between August and October 2022, while the regular Model X is expected from March to June 2023.
The Model S is expected to ship to North American buyers between October 2022 and January 2023, while the Paid model is a little easier to find with expected delivery in August-September 2022.
