Hyundai has just released the look of the Ioniq 6. Not long after, the Korean manufacturer has again shown a high-performance concept car based on the Ioniq 6.
The electric car is named RN22e. This concept electric car also shows Hyundai’s commitment to high-performance vehicles.
“The RN22e played a huge role in the development of our product line up, particularly our electrified, high-performance vehicle,” said Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience at Hyundai.
In terms of performance, the electric motors at the front and rear produce up to 569 tk of power and 740 Nm of torque. That is, the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km / h can be achieved in just about 3.5 seconds.
Hyundai claims the RN22e will have excellent cornering capabilities. Then, to reduce its weight, Hyundai relies on 3D printing.
Braking is also important and Hyundai embeds four-piston monoblock calipers. For the disc, a 400 mm diameter hybrid construction is used.
The RN22e is equipped with N Sound+ which is an artificial sound to give the same feeling as driving a car with a conventional engine.
Likewise with the N e-shift, which gives a vibration and feeling like changing gears on a regular car. Reportedly, the RN22e will not only be produced for racing purposes only. However, this high-performance electric car will also be made legal for use on the highway. Unfortunately, it has not been explained when this car will enter the production stage.
