Nio Inc delivered 34,246 vehicles in October, recording its first year-on-year decline in more than 30 months as weaker performance at its Onvo brand outweighed growth from the Nio main brand and Firefly.
The Chinese electric vehicle maker announced its latest delivery figures on Sunday. October deliveries declined 15.23% from a year earlier and 8.45% compared with September.
The result marked Nio Inc’s first monthly year-on-year delivery decline since February 2024. October volume also reached its lowest level since April 2026.
Despite the monthly setback, the company delivered 334,547 vehicles during the first 10 months of 2026, an increase of 38.46% year on year. The cumulative total had already exceeded its full-year 2025 deliveries of 326,028 vehicles.
However, year-to-date growth moderated from 49.24% in the first nine months of the year. Nio Inc’s cumulative deliveries reached 1,332,139 vehicles by the end of October.
Main Nio Brand Maintains Annual Growth
Performance across the company’s three brands continued to diverge.
The Nio main brand delivered 18,125 vehicles in October, up 5.73% year on year but down 14.98% from September. The monthly total was its lowest since February.
For the first 10 months of 2026, the main brand delivered 200,113 vehicles, representing year-on-year growth of 55.71%.
Its contribution accounted for 59.82% of Nio Inc’s total deliveries during the period, making it the company’s largest volume contributor.
Onvo Records Third Consecutive Annual Decline
Onvo, Nio’s family-oriented vehicle brand, delivered 8,383 vehicles in October, down 51.66% from the same month last year and 4.34% from September.
The result marked Onvo’s third consecutive month of year-on-year declines and its fifth consecutive monthly decrease.
During the first 10 months of 2026, Onvo deliveries totaled 78,574 vehicles, down 9.54% year on year. This reversed the 0.97% growth recorded during the first nine months.
The brand reached 200,000 cumulative deliveries on October 8. Its current lineup includes three battery electric SUVs: the L60, L80 and L90. The range was expanded and updated during the second quarter as Nio sought to strengthen Onvo’s position in the family vehicle segment.
Firefly Sets Another Monthly Delivery Record
Firefly continued to deliver stronger results, recording 7,738 vehicles in October.
Deliveries increased 30.89% year on year and 5.61% from September, setting a new monthly record for the second consecutive month.
The contrast between Firefly’s growth and Onvo’s declining deliveries highlights the differing sales trends across Nio Inc’s brand portfolio.
While the main Nio brand and Firefly maintained annual growth in October, the sharp decline at Onvo contributed to the group’s first year-on-year delivery contraction since early 2024.
