Mazda MX-30 has received the latest update in Europe (12/5). Mazda’s first electric SUV update is in the form of an increase in the charging system and several changes to its appearance.
There are no changes in the specifications. The European version of the Mazda MX-30 still has an electric motor that produces 107 kW or 145 hp and 271 Nm of torque.
The electric motor delivers power from a Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35.5 kWh with a claimed mileage of only 200 kilometers.
What are the changes? Starting from the charging system, the Mazda MX-30 is now compatible with three-phase AC charging with a maximum power of 11 kW.
Not only AC charging, the MX-30’s DC fast charging power is also increased from 40 kW to 50 kW.
Mazda says this power increase cuts the fast charging time by up to 10 minutes, from 36 minutes to 26 minutes to be exact.
Apart from charging, the refreshed MX-30 gets two new multi-tone color options, namely Jet Black and Zircon Sand.
Mazda also changed the interior of the MX-30 with Soul Red Crystal color to full black to strengthen the sporty impression.
In terms of features, the 2022 Mazda MX-30 refresh version still retains the features of the previous version.
For example, there are 7-inch digital instruments, a floating center console, a 7-inch touch screen head unit, and Mazda Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Now in the 2022 refresh version, Mazda embeds a more sophisticated sound system so that the driver knows the performance of the electric motor when operating.
This sound system now has a frequency of 100-200 Hz so that the sound sounds more natural.
