Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast said it has appointed Pham Nhat Quan Anh as chairman of the company’s board of directors, effective May 23, 2026, as the automaker enters what it described as its next phase of global expansion.
Pham Nhat Quan Anh replaces Le Thi Thu Thuy, who will step down as chairwoman and member of VinFast’s board.
VinFast said Le Thi Thu Thuy will continue serving as vice chairwoman of Vingroup, where she will focus on strategic priorities for the group.
Pham Nhat Quan Anh currently serves as vice chairman and standing deputy general director at VinFast Trading and Production JSC. The company said he has played a role in VinFast’s development from its early domestic operations in Vietnam to its international expansion strategy.
“I am honored to assume the role of Chairman of the Board of VinFast,” Anh said in a statement.
“VinFast has built a strong foundation over the past several years, and we remain focused on executing the Company’s long-term strategic priorities, advancing innovation, and continuing to strengthen our global operations and customer experience,” he added.
“I look forward to working closely with the leadership team as VinFast enters its next stage of growth.”
According to the company, Anh holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Singapore Management University.
Before joining VinFast in 2019, he served as deputy general director and deputy chief operating officer at Vinpearl between 2017 and 2019.
Since joining VinFast, Anh has held multiple senior management roles covering vehicle development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales operations. His previous positions included deputy general director of global sales, marketing and after-sales, as well as director of planning, program coordination and quality inspection.
VinFast said the leadership transition is intended to support the company’s long-term growth and international business development strategy.
