Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has signed memorandums of understanding with 29 after-sales partners across North America, Europe, the Middle East, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Kazakhstan as the company accelerates expansion of its global service network.
VinFast said it plans to operate more than 1,100 workshops globally during 2026 through a combination of dealership service centres, fleet-support facilities and authorised third-party repair partners depending on the market.
The agreements were signed during a VinFast global partner event attended by more than 200 investors, distributors, dealers and service providers.
In the United States, VinFast is expanding service coverage through a partnership with RepairWise, which connects customers with certified repair facilities through remote diagnostics, online repair estimates and appointment scheduling systems.
Anthony Rodio, chief executive officer and co-founder of RepairWise, said the partnership is intended to help improve service accessibility in areas where dealership infrastructure is still developing.
“The US is an enormous market. That creates a major opportunity for us to help provide service coverage for VinFast customers in areas where there may not yet be dealerships,” Rodio said.
He added that the partnership covers both warranty repairs and routine vehicle maintenance through the company’s independent repair network.
VinFast said its after-sales strategy is designed to complement its dealership network while improving customer convenience and expanding service coverage in key international markets.
The company’s expansion comes as several established automakers in the United States have slowed or revised electric vehicle growth plans amid profitability concerns and changing market conditions, creating opportunities for newer entrants to compete through customer support infrastructure.
David Pributsky, chief commercial officer and co-founder of RepairWise North America, said VinFast’s broader industrial ecosystem was one of the factors that distinguished the company from many emerging automotive brands.
“I’ve never worked directly with a company that has so many interconnected components within one ecosystem,” Pributsky said. “That’s something completely new to me.”
Pributsky added that VinFast’s integrated approach to charging, after-sales support and pricing strengthened its appeal in the U.S. electric vehicle market.
“The combination of charging infrastructure, after-sales support, and competitive pricing makes VinFast very compelling for the U.S. market,” he said.
Rodio also said visits to Vietnam and the company’s production facilities reinforced confidence in VinFast’s long-term ambitions.
“One of the biggest surprises for me was having the opportunity to see the full breadth of the Vingroup ecosystem, from VinUniversity to the group’s many subsidiaries,” Rodio said.
“It demonstrates a genuine commitment by VinFast and Vingroup to Vietnam, to its people, and to industries that are creating jobs, supporting communities, and driving economic growth.”
Pributsky said VinFast’s continued investment in support infrastructure and long-term market development had strengthened partner confidence despite the challenges of operating in the competitive U.S. automotive market.
“VinFast has demonstrated real commitment, and they have the people and resources to support their aspirations,” he said. “Expanding in the U.S. is not easy, but they are clearly committed to building for the long term.”
