Stellantis is facing extended delivery delays for long-range electric vehicle variants of certain Opel and Peugeot models in Germany, according to dealers cited by Automobilwoche.
The delays affect long-range versions of the Opel Grandland and Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008, with some deliveries now expected in the first or second quarter of 2027, the report said.
Other dealers have not yet received binding delivery dates, according to Automobilwoche.
The affected models are equipped with a larger 97-kWh battery pack, compared with the standard 73-kWh battery, and are priced roughly 5,000 euros higher.
A Stellantis spokesperson cited strong demand from business customers and supply constraints as factors behind the delays.
“Demand—particularly from B2B fleet customers, who account for almost 90 per cent of orders—currently exceeds production capacity,” the spokesperson said.
The company also said a slower-than-expected ramp-up at a supplier has contributed to the bottleneck.
Stellantis expects to complete deliveries for existing fleet customer orders by September 2026, while private customers are currently scheduled to receive the affected long-range electric vehicles by the first quarter of 2027.
Automobilwoche reported that the delays are creating challenges for dealers, who in some cases face canceled orders or must provide interim replacement vehicles for waiting customers.
