Cupra unveiled the production version of its Raval electric hatchback, the first model in the Volkswagen Group’s upcoming compact electric vehicle family, with the entry-level variant set to start at 25,950 euros when sales begin this summer.
Ahead of the lower-priced launch, Cupra said the Raval will initially be offered in three launch editions priced from 37,250 euros.
The Raval joins the planned compact EV lineup alongside the upcoming VW ID. Cross and Skoda Epiq, and is based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform.
Measuring 4.05 meters in length with a 2.60-meter wheelbase, the front-wheel-drive hatchback features styling derived from Cupra’s UrbanRebel concept first shown in 2022.
The Raval will be available in four power outputs of 85 kilowatts, 99 kilowatts, 155 kilowatts and 166 kilowatts.
Two battery options will be offered: a 37-kWh lithium iron phosphate pack for lower-powered variants and a 52-kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery for higher-spec models.
Cupra said the smaller battery offers up to 300 kilometers of range, while the larger pack provides up to 444 kilometers depending on configuration. The top VZ performance version delivers 379 km to 381 km of range.
The automaker said the 52-kWh battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes at up to 105 kilowatts, while the 37-kWh battery supports charging at up to 88 kilowatts with the same state-of-charge window reached in 23 minutes.
All variants include an 11-kW three-phase AC onboard charger as standard.
The Raval also supports vehicle-to-load functionality and can power external devices through its battery system.
Cupra said the compact EV includes driver assistance and convenience technologies such as Remote Park Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, a 360-degree Top View Camera and Pre-Crash collision detection.
Initial launch editions include the Dynamic model with a 155-kW powertrain priced from 37,250 euros, the Dynamic Plus from 41,605 euros, and the VZ Extreme with 166 kW starting at 46,525 euros.
