Leapmotor has launched its new compact electric SUV, the A10, introducing LiDAR-equipped intelligent driving features to the entry-level market as competition intensifies in China’s EV sector.
The Leapmotor A10 is priced from 65,800 yuan ($9,500) for base variants, while the top-spec version featuring LiDAR starts at 86,800 yuan ($13,020), positioning it among the most affordable vehicles to offer the technology.

The A10 is a five-seat compact SUV measuring 4,270 mm in length with a 2,605 mm wheelbase. It is powered by a 90 kW electric motor delivering 150 Nm of torque, targeting urban commuting use.
The model is offered with two battery options—39.8 kWh and 53 kWh—providing driving ranges of 403 km and 505 km respectively under CLTC conditions. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to be replenished from 30% to 80% in around 16 minutes.

Leapmotor has positioned intelligence as a key differentiator for the A10. The vehicle is equipped with Qualcomm cockpit chips, including the SA8155 or SA8295, alongside the SA8650 chip for advanced driver assistance systems. The top variant integrates 27 perception sensors, including LiDAR, delivering up to 200 TOPS of computing power to support urban and highway assisted driving as well as automated parking features.
The interior adopts a minimalist layout, featuring an 8.88-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. The system is integrated with Alibaba’s Qwen large language model to enhance in-car interaction.

The A10 is the first model built on Leapmotor’s new global A platform and will be marketed overseas as the B03X. It is expected to compete with models such as BYD Yuan Up and Geely Xingyuan in China’s crowded entry-level EV segment.
The launch comes as Leapmotor seeks to sustain strong growth after achieving its first full-year profitability in 2025, with nearly 600,000 vehicle deliveries. The company has set a target of exceeding 1 million deliveries in 2026, supported by a pipeline of new models.
Among upcoming releases, Leapmotor is preparing to launch its flagship large SUV, the D19, later this year.
