ThunderPlus said it will establish a high-capacity electric vehicle charging hub in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with electric bus operator EveyTrans, as part of efforts to expand charging infrastructure along key transport routes.
The company will hold a 40% ownership stake in the project, which is being developed on a one-acre site in Tadepalli. The hub is designed to serve EV traffic along the Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor, a major transportation route in the region.

The planned facility will feature a total installed capacity of 1.6 MW and support a wide range of electric vehicles, including buses, passenger cars, two-wheelers and commercial fleets. ThunderPlus said it has already installed seven 180 kW fast chargers, each equipped with two connectors, enabling up to 14 vehicles to charge simultaneously. In addition, five 7.4 kW AC chargers have been deployed for slower charging needs.
The site will also include dedicated infrastructure for electric two-wheelers, with two 6 kW chargers, as well as a planned battery-swapping system, though further details have not yet been disclosed. ThunderPlus said it intends to expand the number of chargers in future phases.

Once fully operational, the hub is expected to handle more than 150 EVs at the same time, including over 50 buses and more than 100 passenger vehicles.
Beyond charging, the company is developing a broader support facility that will include servicing and repair bays for buses, spare parts storage, vehicle washing and maintenance areas, as well as driver amenities such as rest zones and training infrastructure.
ThunderPlus Chief Executive Rajeev YSR said the partnership would help accelerate EV adoption in India. “It gives me immense pleasure to partner with EveyTrans, not only the largest electric bus fleet operating company in the country but also one of the early pioneers of the Indian EV ecosystem,” he said.

EveyTrans Chief Executive Sandeep Raizada said the collaboration could be expanded to other locations. “Through this collaboration, we are confident of developing several such high-capacity ultra-fast charging hubs across strategic cities and transport corridors, enabling electric buses, trucks, passenger vehicles, and two-wheelers to fully leverage India’s evolving EV infrastructure,” he said.
EveyTrans, a sister company of electric bus manufacturer Olectra Greentech, operates around 3,300 buses across more than 50 cities in India, covering over 800,000 kilometres daily.
The project reflects broader efforts in India to scale up charging infrastructure to support the growing adoption of electric mobility across public and commercial transport segments.
