Lexus has discontinued the battery-electric UX 300e in several major markets, leaving the compact crossover available only with hybrid powertrains in many regions, including Germany, the United Kingdom, France and the United States.
The Lexus UX 300e was the first fully electric vehicle introduced by the premium brand of Toyota. Based on the UX compact crossover platform, the model was launched in various international markets between 2020 and 2021 as Lexus’s initial entry into the battery-electric segment.

The vehicle initially featured a 54.3-kWh battery pack before receiving an upgrade in 2022 to a larger 72.8-kWh battery, extending its range to around 450 kilometers under the WLTP testing cycle. Despite the update, the model stood out in the EV market due to its reliance on the CHAdeMO fast-charging standard, while most global markets increasingly adopted CCS or Tesla’s NACS charging systems.
According to a report by British automotive outlet Auto Express, the UX 300e has been removed from the online configurator of Lexus UK. A company spokesperson confirmed that the electric version of the model was discontinued at the end of 2023.

Reviews of multiple Lexus country websites indicate the same trend across several markets. In Germany and France, the UX lineup is now offered only as the hybrid Lexus UX 300h. In Germany, the model starts at €45,200, with the F Sport variant priced up to €63,100. In France, the hybrid version starts at around €45,000, while in the United States the model is listed from $38,250 before additional costs.
The electric UX has not disappeared completely from global markets. In Norway, Lexus continues to offer the UX 300e in a limited Edition35 configuration, priced at around 405,000 Norwegian kroner, equivalent to approximately €36,100.
