Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has demonstrated its efforts to promote sustainable mobility by launching the Tata Ace EV.
The new Tata Ace EV is a revolutionary electric commercial vehicle from the popular Ace model.
India’s most advanced four-wheeled small commercial vehicle (SCV) is claimed to be an environmentally friendly and intelligent transportation solution that is ready to serve various applications in the city.

Mr. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Motors, said that the Tata Ace is the most successful commercial vehicle in India ever. It has revolutionized transportation and created millions of successful entrepreneurs over the years.
“E-mobility is an idea whose time has come. At Tata Motors, we are moving with speed and scale to lead this change in both the passenger and commercial vehicle segments. I am pleased today that with the launch of the Ace EV, we are entering a new era of mobility. e-cargo,” he said in his official statement, Friday (6/5/2022).
“Furthermore, this model will build on Ace’s legacy by providing mobility solutions that are technologically advanced, clean and intelligent. I am excited about the electrification of commercial vehicles,” he continued.

The new Tata Ace EV was co-developed in rich collaboration with its users and supported by a carefully curated ecosystem that offers a holistic solution for e-cargo mobility.
This electric commercial car has overall dimensions of 3,800 mm in length, 1,500 mm in width, 2635 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,100 mm and a grond clearance of 160 mm.
The Tata Ace EV is the first product to feature a Tata Motors Evogen powertrain that offers an unrivaled certified range of up to 154 kilometers. The Ace EV is equipped with a Lithium Ion Iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 21.3 kWh and is powered by a 36 hp electric motor with a peak torque of 130Nm.

On the other hand, Tata Motors also announced the signing of strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with leading e-commerce companies and logistics service providers such as Amazon, BigBasket, City Link, DOT, Flipkart, LetsTransport, MoEVing and Yelo EV.
In the MoU, Tata Motors claims to send approximately 39,000 units of Ace EV and prepare a special Electric Vehicle Support Center for maximum fleet operational time.
Not only that, Tata Motors is also ready to implement Tata Fleet Edge as a new generation optimal fleet management solution and provide support from Tata UniEVerse as a proven supporting ecosystem from relevant Tata Group companies.

Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, said that the introduction of the Ace EV marks a major milestone in Tata Motors’ journey to deliver zero-emission cargo mobility in India.
“Based on our experience and success with electric buses, we have designed a use-case specific EV solution for in-city distribution. This solution effectively meets application requirements and provides a superior value proposition to all stakeholders,” he explained.
“We are very encouraged by the support and feedback received from our e-commerce customers, with whom we are embarking on this zero-emissions cargo mobility journey,” added Mr. Girish.
