Octopus Energy has launched a new business-focused product called “Octopus Fleet,” expanding its electric vehicle services into the corporate fleet market with an integrated platform covering charging, payments and infrastructure.
The UK-based energy company said the service is designed as a one-stop solution for organisations transitioning to electric vehicles, building on its existing consumer offerings such as the Electroverse public charging network and home energy technologies.
Octopus Fleet combines access to public charging through Electroverse with new tools tailored for business use, including a dedicated fleet charging card and a business payments card that can also be used for expenses such as tolls and meals. The platform also offers hardware solutions including workplace chargers, rooftop solar panels and battery storage systems.
A key component is a home charging reimbursement scheme that automatically compensates employees who charge company vehicles at home, eliminating manual expense claims. Octopus said businesses will receive a single consolidated invoice covering all fleet charging activity, reducing administrative complexity.
The company is also introducing incentives for employees, including salary sacrifice programmes to support the purchase of electric vehicles and access to discounted public charging.
Octopus has positioned the product as a flexible system that companies can tailor to their operational needs. The launch follows a previously announced partnership with fleet software provider Monta, whose management tools will support the new offering.
“Choosing an electric vehicle is easier than ever, but every business operates differently and we’ve seen that it can be a challenge to scale up electrification efforts,” said Matt Davies, director of Octopus Electroverse and Octopus Fleet. He added that the platform offers a range of options across home, public and depot charging to simplify the transition.
The move reflects growing demand from corporate fleets for integrated electrification solutions as businesses seek to reduce emissions and comply with tightening regulations. Fleet vehicles typically travel higher annual distances than private cars, making them a priority segment for decarbonisation efforts.
Octopus Energy said the service is intended to support companies at different stages of the transition, from pilot programmes to full fleet electrification.
