Xiaomi’s electric vehicle division has delivered its 600,000th car, the company said on Friday, underscoring the rapid expansion of the consumer electronics maker’s automotive business less than two years after its market debut.
The milestone comes about 22 months after Xiaomi began customer deliveries on April 3, 2024. The company announced the achievement on its official Weibo account, marking a significant benchmark for one of China’s newest entrants to the competitive EV sector.

Xiaomi first revealed plans to enter vehicle manufacturing in March 2021 and launched its inaugural model, the SU7 electric sedan, on March 28, 2024. The model competes in the mid-size sedan segment alongside vehicles such as Tesla’s Model 3. A higher-performance variant, the SU7 Ultra, was introduced in February 2025.
The company broadened its lineup in June 2025 with the launch of the YU7 sport utility vehicle, positioned as a rival to Tesla’s Model Y. While the SU7 initially dominated deliveries, the YU7 has since become the company’s best-selling model as production scaled up.
