Xpeng has released new interior images of its upcoming GX flagship SUV, offering a first detailed look at the cabin design as the model moves closer to market launch in China.
The GX features an all-new, minimalist dashboard layout with no physical buttons, centered around a large central touchscreen, a dedicated driver display and an augmented-reality head-up display. Interior images show an oval-shaped steering wheel with a large diameter, dual wireless charging pads and two cup holders in the front row. Rear passengers are shown with a pop-down entertainment screen, tray tables, a panoramic sunroof and a spacious cabin layout.

Xpeng said the GX will be equipped with its Ultra advanced driver-assistance system rated at L2+, powered by three in-house Turing AI chips delivering a combined 2,250 TOPS of computing capability.
The interior reveal comes as the GX has appeared in the latest vehicle catalogue published by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), a key regulatory step ahead of sales approval. The public consultation period runs from Feb. 7 to Feb. 13, after which the model can receive final clearance for sale in China.
According to the MIIT filing, the GX will be produced at Xpeng’s Guangzhou plant and offered in six variants, comprising three extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions and three battery-electric vehicle (BEV) versions. The six-seat SUV measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,115 mm wheelbase, placing it in the full-size SUV segment.

The EREV variants have curb weights of 2,840 kg or 2,890 kg and a top speed of 200 km/h. They use a 1.5-litre range-extender engine supplied by Harbin Dongan Auto Engine with a maximum output of 110 kW, paired with dual electric motors delivering 210 kW at the front and 160 kW at the rear. These versions use lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by CALB.
The BEV variants weigh between 2,690 kg and 2,820 kg and are also rated for a top speed of 200 km/h. They are offered in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, with the rear-drive version using a 270 kW motor and the all-wheel-drive version adding a 160 kW front motor. Battery options include both LFP and ternary lithium chemistries, also supplied by CALB.
