Hyundai Motor Company confirmed that sales of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car in Indonesia had reached 1,587 units.
The car sales figures were achieved in just six days, namely April 22-27 2022.
Launching Yonhap today, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, the total sales of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car in Indonesia even more than doubled the total sales of electric cars last year.
In 2021, Hyundai will sell 693 electric cars in Indonesia. The Ioniq Electric and Kona Electric models accounted for 87 percent or 605 units.
The response of the Indonesian people to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car is also considered quite good. When it was launched at the IIMS 2022 auto show, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric car managed to get 800 units of car orders for 11 days of the exhibition.
The Ioniq 5 has even become the best-selling model at IIMS, surpassing the Hyundai Creta.
