Rivian said it has appointed Greg Revelle as chief customer officer, placing a veteran of retail, e-commerce and automotive businesses in charge of the electric vehicle maker’s customer-facing functions as it prepares to launch new models.
Revelle, who joined Rivian in early 2026, will oversee the entire customer journey and lead the company’s go-to-market strategy, including sales, marketing and operations. He previously founded Revatek, a startup focused on off-grid energy storage solutions for outdoor use, and has held senior marketing and commercial leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including Kohl’s, Best Buy, AutoNation and Expedia. He also serves on the board of Cars.com.

Rivian founder and chief executive RJ Scaringe said the appointment brings additional operating experience as the company scales. “We are excited that Greg is bringing his deep experience across eCommerce, marketing and automotive to Rivian,” Scaringe said. “Greg has a proven track record of leading large teams in a dynamic environment.”
Revelle said he was drawn to Rivian’s product and technology focus as it expands beyond its initial vehicle lineup. “Rivian’s commitment to AI and software-defined vehicles is something I’ve admired for a while,” he said. “The company has built versatile, intuitive vehicles that solve real-world needs for customers, seamlessly bridging the gap between daily utility and outdoor adventure.”

The leadership change comes as Rivian prepares to produce and launch the R2, a five-passenger electric SUV built on its midsize platform, which the company expects to bring to market in the first half of 2026. The platform is also set to underpin the R3 product line, as Rivian targets broader market segments.
According to Rivian, Revelle’s responsibilities include aligning customer experience, commercial strategy and operations as the company transitions toward higher-volume production. Revelle holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
