Zeekr, the premium new energy vehicle brand owned by Geely Holding Group, has released official images of its upcoming 8X SUV, offering a clearer look at the model as it prepares for launch in China later this year.
The newly published images show the Zeekr 8X in a bright red finish, highlighting a wide stance, large grille and prominent chrome detailing. Chrome accents are visible around the window frames, beneath the side mirrors and on the roof rails, reflecting a renewed emphasis on glossy, high-contrast exterior styling that has gained popularity in the Chinese market.

Curb weight is listed at around 2,820 kg.
The Zeekr 8X uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 202 kW electric motor and a ternary lithium-ion battery. The vehicle has a stated top speed of 220 km/h. Zeekr has not yet released detailed information on battery capacity or electric-only driving range.

The 8X forms part of Zeekr’s broader expansion beyond pure battery-electric vehicles, following the launch of the Zeekr 9X, the brand’s first hybrid model. The company has said the 8X is designed as a high-end hybrid SUV capable of meeting a wide range of driving conditions.
Zeekr is expected to launch the 8X in China in the second half of the year, with market introduction currently projected for late in the third quarter, as competition intensifies in the country’s premium SUV segment.
