Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio said it has launched a limited-edition version of its flagship ET9 sedan to commemorate the production of its one-millionth vehicle, underscoring the company’s push into the high-end luxury segment as it scales manufacturing.
The limited-edition ET9 is priced from 818,000 yuan ($117,070), around 6.5% higher than the standard ET9’s starting price of 768,000 yuan. Nio said only nine units will be produced, split across three exterior themes, making it one of the most exclusive vehicles the company has offered to date.

The special edition features “1,000,000” badging on both the exterior and interior to mark the milestone. Owners will receive benefits including 10 years of free battery swaps, in line with other ET9 variants.
Nio unveiled the commemorative model following a ceremony at its F2 factory in Hefei, Anhui province, where the company’s one-millionth vehicle rolled off the production line. Pricing details were confirmed when the model went on sale on Tuesday.
The ET9 was first unveiled at Nio Day in December 2024, with deliveries beginning in late March 2025. Positioned as one of the most expensive vehicles ever produced by a Chinese automaker, the model is intended to compete with established ultra-luxury brands, including Mercedes-Maybach.

Earlier, Nio’s founder and chief executive William Li said the production milestone reflected the company’s long-term commitment to manufacturing and technology. “Reaching one million vehicles is a key moment for Nio and shows what sustained investment in products and infrastructure can achieve,” Li said during the factory event.
Nio has also continued to expand the ET9 lineup. In September 2025, it introduced the ET9 Horizon Edition with unlimited availability, followed by new colour options in November.
