Fastned said it ended 2025 with more than 400 fast-charging locations across Europe, underscoring a rapid build-out of infrastructure as electric vehicle adoption expands across the region.
The Amsterdam-based company said it now operates 406 fast-charging sites spanning nine countries — the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and Italy — after opening 60 new locations during the year, including its first stations in Italy and Spain.

Fastned’s growth has accelerated sharply in recent years. The company opened its first fast-charging station in 2013 in the Netherlands and reached 100 locations in 2019. It doubled that figure in 2022 and crossed 300 locations in early 2024, keeping it on track toward its stated goal of operating 1,000 sites by 2030.
Expansion in 2025 included milestone openings in several core markets. Fastned passed 50 locations in France in July and exceeded the same threshold in both Belgium and Germany by December. In Germany, it also launched its first motorway charging park under the national Deutschlandnetz programme.

“2025 was another record year for Fastned, and I’m extremely proud that we now have over 400 stations, all in premium A-locations and offering best-in-class charging, across nine countries,” said Michiel Langezaal, Fastned’s chief executive and founder, adding that the company plans to continue scaling in 2026.
Beyond numerical growth, the company said it focused on evolving its station concept. A flagship site opened in Gentbrugge, Belgium, introduced what Fastned described as a fully electric service area with dining facilities. The location also marked the company’s first deployment of fast-charging infrastructure designed specifically for electric heavy-duty trucks on both sides of a motorway, a format it plans to expand further next year.

Fastned plans to publish its full-year 2025 financial results and outlook on January 15. Chief operating officer Françoise Poggi said the company met its forecasts last year while building organisational capabilities for the next phase of expansion, with a focus on improving execution speed across national teams.
Germany’s country director Linda Boll said the local unit contributed 12 new locations in 2025, stressing that the company measures progress not only by site count but also by the quality and reliability of each station.
Fastned currently charges €0.73 per kilowatt hour for ad-hoc charging in Germany, with lower rates available through a paid subscription, while pricing varies across its European markets.
