Hyundai Motor Europe will debut its largest electric vehicle to date at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, marking a key milestone in the automaker’s electrification strategy as it accelerates its transition toward a fully electric lineup.
The new model, which will feature 800-volt charging architecture, is set to make its world premiere at the event running from January 9 to 18, 2026. It will become the flagship of Hyundai’s European electric vehicle range, complementing existing models from the compact INSTER to the large IONIQ 9.
Hyundai said the unveiling will form part of a broader presentation outlining its European electrification roadmap. Raf Van Nuffel, Vice President and Head of Product at Hyundai Motor Europe, is expected to detail the company’s next steps as it moves toward offering an all-electric lineup in the region by 2027.
Alongside the new flagship model, Hyundai will also showcase the updated IONIQ 6, which features aerodynamic refinements, enhanced interior technology, and improved efficiency. Performance-focused variants, including the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N, will be displayed in a dedicated performance zone. The automaker will also present the “INSTEROID” concept, a gaming-inspired design study based on the INSTER electric vehicle.
Hyundai said the new flagship EV will play a central role in strengthening its European presence, where about 85 percent of its lineup is already electrified. The company currently operates in 41 European markets, with more than 2,100 sales outlets, and manufactures over 70 percent of vehicles sold in the region at plants in the Czech Republic and Türkiye.
