Ford Motor has secured its largest-ever European order for electric Transit vans after Bravida, a Danish engineering and supply company, placed an order for 500 battery-electric commercial vehicles as part of its fleet electrification strategy.
The order includes 350 E-Transit Custom vans and 150 E-Transit Courier models, with deliveries scheduled for 2026. Once the vehicles are deployed, Bravida said about 60% of its total vehicle fleet will be made up of fully electric models.

“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Bravida, which marks a significant acceleration of the electrification of vans in Denmark,” said Frank Skjærbæk, chief executive of Ford at NCG Motor Company, the distributor responsible for supplying the vehicles. He added that the order highlights the growing role of electric vans in supporting customers’ sustainability targets.
Ford began mass production of its all-electric vehicle lineup in Europe in 2024, including the E-Transit range, bringing its battery-powered commercial vehicles into large-scale use across the region. The E-Transit models have gained traction among infrastructure firms, utility companies and logistics operators seeking to reduce operating emissions while maintaining payload and durability requirements.

Beyond Bravida, major global companies have also expanded their electric Ford Transit fleets. Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest bakery operator, recently added 30 E-Transit units as part of its goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Other fleet customers include utility operators such as SoCalGas and beverage producer Pepsi, reflecting wider adoption of electric vans across multiple industries.
