BYD introduced its new Han L sedan at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, revealing electric and plug-in hybrid variants alongside refreshed styling and purchase incentives.
The model, presented as part of the company’s latest premium lineup, includes a pure-electric version offering up to 701 km of CLTC range and a 0–100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds. According to automotive outlet Y-Auto, BYD said the new model “delivers performance and efficiency while expanding options for consumers.”

The Han L adopts a redesigned exterior featuring a sculpted hood with dual creases, an LED lighting system, hidden door handles and a roof-mounted laser LiDAR sensor, which the company says enables advanced assisted-driving functions.
New colour choices, including olive green and Xizi blue, were added to the lineup. Sport-oriented elements such as blacked-out badges, matte-black wheels and yellow brake callipers distinguish the performance trim. At the rear, the sedan integrates full-width taillights, winding light signatures and a diffuser-inspired lower bumper.

Inside, the vehicle follows BYD’s signature cabin layout with a three-spoke steering wheel and a fully digital instrument display. All trims come equipped with the “God’s Eye B” (DiPilot 300) laser-assisted driving suite, which supports city and highway navigation. Pricing for the EV ranges from 194,800 yuan (about 27,400 USD) to 264,800 yuan (around 37,200 USD) after subsidies, according to Y-Auto’s report.
Powertrain choices include a plug-in hybrid setup and a pure-electric system. The PHEV pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine—rated at 45.3% thermal efficiency—with dual 200 kW motors, delivering 200 km of electric-only range and 0–100 km/h acceleration of 3.9 seconds.

The EV option is available with single- or dual-motor configurations, producing up to 810 kW in combined output. BYD says the top version reaches 305 km/h and uses an 83.2 kWh fast-charge battery on its Super e 1,000-volt platform. The rear-wheel-drive model offers 701 km of range, while the all-wheel-drive variant achieves 601 km.
BYD also announced seven limited-time incentives for customers placing orders before December 31, with benefits totalling up to 52,000 yuan (roughly 7,300 USD). A styling package—featuring olive green or Xizi blue paint, a floating black roof, sport trim, matte-black wheels and four-piston yellow brake callipers—has been discounted from its original 13,000 yuan (1,830 USD) to 5,000 yuan (about 700 USD) for the promotional period.
