Hived, a UK-based electric parcel delivery logistics company, has expanded operations beyond London for the first time, marking a significant step in its nationwide growth strategy. The company, which operates a fully electric delivery network, has launched services in eight new locations across southern England.
The expansion includes Bath, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Portsmouth, Poole, Southampton, and Worthing — where Hived has been operational since early September 2025. The move follows the introduction of 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros electric heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to its fleet, enabling the company to carry out middle-mile intercity distribution alongside its existing last-mile electric van services.

Founded with the aim of reducing emissions from the logistics sector, Hived describes itself as the UK’s first fully electric parcel delivery network. The company says its decision to expand was influenced by growing demand from retail partners seeking nationwide coverage. Hived’s clients reportedly include Nespresso, Liberty of London, H&M, Gousto, and John Lewis.
The expansion follows Hived’s $42 million Series B funding round, led by NordicNinja and supported by existing investors such as Planet A, Wex Venture Capital, Marunouchi Innovation Partners, Elemental Impact, Yamato Holdings, Future Back Ventures by Bain & Co, and Rocketship VC. The company said the new funding will accelerate its transformation from a London-based operator into a nationwide player in the UK parcel delivery market.

Hived’s CEO, Murvah Iqbal, has outlined the company’s goal to reach 80 percent coverage of the UK within two years. The firm’s growth comes amid rising demand for low-emission logistics solutions, with e-commerce now accounting for nearly 10 percent of the UK’s GDP.
