Geely Auto’s sub-brand Geely Galaxy announced that its M9 model has achieved 10,000 deliveries just one month after launch. The milestone six-seat large hybrid SUV continues to strengthen the brand’s position in China’s competitive SUV market.
The company revealed on Weibo that the 10,000th Geely Galaxy M9 was delivered to renowned Chinese pipa virtuoso Fang Jinlong. Geely Galaxy officially launched the M9 on September 17 with a starting price of RMB 183,800 ($25,800), discounted to as low as RMB 173,800. This makes the M9 one of the most affordable large SUVs available in China.

Built on Geely’s Electric Architecture Evo (GEA Evo) platform, the M9 measures 5,205 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,030 mm wheelbase. The model is comparable in size to Li Auto’s (NASDAQ: LI) Li L9 extended-range electric vehicle, which measures 5,218 mm in length and starts at RMB 409,800 — roughly twice the M9’s price.
“The M9’s highly competitive pricing is its core selling point, establishing a new price benchmark in the full-size SUV segment through robust cost control,” Deutsche Bank analyst Wang Bin’s team said in a September research note, adding that average monthly sales are projected to reach around 5,000 units.
