Mercedes-Benz has begun taking orders across Europe for its new fully electric GLC, following its debut at the IAA Mobility show in Munich. The GLC 400 4MATIC, powered by a 360 kW dual-motor setup, is available in Germany starting at €71,281 or through private leasing from €475 per month.
Mercedes said the pricing positions the electric GLC competitively against its combustion-engine counterpart. While the entry-level GLC 200 d 4MATIC starts below €59,000, the plug-in hybrid GLC 400 e 4MATIC—offering similar combined power—retails at €64,340. To match the new EV’s performance among combustion models, buyers would need to consider AMG variants priced upwards of €77,000.

Customers can configure the model online with fully customized options or select from three curated packages: “Efficiency,” offering up to 714 km WLTP range from €64,120; “Everybody’s Darling,” blending design and technology from €73,086; and “Exclusive & Sporty,” with comfort and performance upgrades starting at €94,441. The top range figure applies to the optional “Long Range Edition,” priced at an additional €3,403, which includes aerodynamic enhancements and low-resistance tires.
Standard features across all trims include a panoramic roof, LED headlights, dual displays, automatic climate control, and heated seats. Higher trim levels add options such as the MBUX Hyperscreen, Burmester 4D sound, and Digital Light technology. The AMG Line package remains available for customers seeking sportier styling.

According to Mercedes executive Mathias Geisen, the electric GLC aims to continue the model’s strong global performance while easing the transition to electric mobility. The automaker’s strategy now emphasizes greater design continuity between its combustion and electric models, aiming to maintain brand familiarity while benefiting from dedicated EV platforms.
Built on an 800-volt architecture, the electric GLC supports rapid charging, delivering up to 303 km of additional range in ten minutes. The vehicle’s illuminated grille and spacious interior further distinguish it from its combustion counterpart. Mercedes plans to expand its electric lineup with four additional models by 2026, including the CLA Shooting Brake and a forthcoming electric C-Class based on similar technology.
