Deepal, the new energy vehicle brand under Changan Automobile, on Sunday launched an updated version of its S07 mid-size SUV, equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS SE smart driving assistance system.
The model continues to be offered in both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) variants. Two BEV versions are priced at 156,900 yuan ($22,060) and 166,900 yuan, while three EREV options start at 156,900 yuan, 166,900 yuan and 173,900 yuan. The entry-level price is 7,000 yuan, or 4.7%, higher than the previous generation.
The S07 maintains the dimensions of its predecessor, measuring 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The BEV version is powered by a rear motor producing 200 kW and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 68.82-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that provides a CLTC range of 550 km.

The EREV variant features a 1.5-liter engine acting as a range-extender with an average thermal efficiency of 44.39%, generating 3.7 kWh of electricity per liter of gasoline. It is offered with LFP batteries of 31.73 kWh and 39.05 kWh, delivering pure electric ranges of 230 km and 300 km respectively. When fully fueled and charged, the combined range reaches up to 1,385 km.
Deepal, established in 2022, has positioned itself as Changan’s dedicated NEV brand. Its current portfolio includes the SL03 sedan, aimed at the Tesla Model 3, as well as the S05 SUV, L07 sedan and G318 SUV.
