Chery has launched its new Fulwin X3L, equipped with the Kunpeng Golden extended-range CEM-S system, as the automaker expands its lineup of rugged SUVs. The model is offered in four configurations priced from 119,900 to 159,900 yuan ($16,500–22,000), with trade-in incentives reducing prices to between 109,900 and 149,900 yuan ($15,100–20,600).
The Fulwin X3L adopts a box-shaped design similar to Chery’s iCar 03T, featuring a bold front fascia with a black horizontal trim that connects the headlights. Its square side profile includes hidden door handles, while the four-wheel-drive version stands out with 21-inch tyres measuring 265mm wide. The SUV measures 4,545mm in length, 1,950mm in width and 1,815mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,783mm. At the rear, it carries a side-opening tailgate and a small storage compartment with mesh dividers for wet items, which can be expanded with future upgrades.
The model comes with a 1.6T towing rating and a wide range of customisation options such as a roof platform, vehicle-mounted drone, roof rack with 75kg capacity, climbing ladder, off-road kits and even a backpack with a smart display. Inside, the SUV blends rugged styling with digital features, including a full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 chip.
Driver assistance is provided by the Falcon 500 intelligent driving system, which supports mapless highway navigation, urban memory navigation, remote parking, trajectory-based reversing and multi-level memory parking.
Power comes from the Kunpeng Golden extended-range system pairing a 1.5T engine with electric motors. The single-motor version delivers up to 185 kW and 300 Nm of torque, while the dual-motor four-wheel-drive version produces 315 kW (422 hp) and 505 Nm, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 4.7 seconds. Pure electric driving ranges are available in 135 km and 215 km versions, with a maximum combined range of over 1,200 km.
For off-road performance, the four-wheel-drive system offers nine driving modes including tank turn, compass turn, low-speed crawl and downhill control. The Fulwin X3L provides a minimum ground clearance of 225mm, with approach and departure angles of 22° and 30° respectively.
