Chery Group reported that sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China reached 71,218 units in August, marking a 53.1% increase compared with the same month last year. Total vehicle sales for August amounted to 242,736 units, representing a year-on-year growth of 14.6%.
For the period from January to August, Chery sold 495,955 NEVs, an increase of 81.8% compared with the same period in 2024. Overall vehicle sales for the first eight months totaled 1,727,299 units, while overseas exports reached 798,804 units.
August marked the fourth consecutive month in which the company’s exports exceeded 100,000 vehicles, setting a new monthly export record.
The company has expanded its international presence, launching models such as the TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 in the UK and the TIGGO7 CSH in Mexico.
By the end of August, Chery had served more than 17.44 million customers across over 120 countries and regions, including 5.3 million overseas users.
