Geely Auto plans to launch five new hybrid models in the second half of 2025 as part of its strategy to meet an upgraded annual sales target of 3 million vehicles, the company said at its mid-year business conference on Tuesday.
The new lineup includes the Zeekr 9X SUV, Lynk & Co’s Lynk 10 EM-P sedan, Geely Galaxy A7 sedan, and the Galaxy M9 SUV. One additional model has not yet been confirmed, though it is expected to be Zeekr’s 8X SUV. All five vehicles will feature hybrid powertrains, underlining the automaker’s continued investment in electrified models.
Earlier this month, Geely raised its full-year sales target by 11 percent, from 2.71 million units to 3 million. To meet this goal, the company will need to sell approximately 1.59 million vehicles in the second half of the year, averaging more than 265,000 units per month.
Geely sold 1,409,180 vehicles in the first six months of 2025, an increase of 47 percent compared to the same period last year. The Geely brand accounted for 1,164,303 of those vehicles, a 30 percent year-on-year rise, including 548,408 units from the Geely Galaxy sub-brand.
Zeekr, Geely’s premium EV division, recorded 90,740 deliveries in the first half, marking a 3 percent increase. Lynk & Co delivered 154,137 vehicles, up 22 percent year-on-year.
In terms of new energy vehicle performance, Geely sold 510,803 battery electric vehicles (BEVs), a 173 percent increase from a year earlier. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sales totaled 214,348 units, reflecting a 61 percent year-on-year growth.
The company said it will continue to focus on expanding its hybrid and electric offerings in response to growing market demand and to support its long-term electrification strategy.
