Segway appears close to launching its new entry-level electric scooters, the Ninebot E3 and E3 Pro, in Europe, following their global debut at CES 2025 earlier this year.
The Ninebot E3 Pro has already surfaced on websites for European retailers, including France’s Fastride and the Netherlands’ Moevs, suggesting an official launch is imminent. The listed price for the Pro version is €449, with pre-orders now open and availability expected by mid-June. The standard E3 model has yet to be priced for the region but is expected to be more affordable than the Pro.
Designed for daily commuting, both models are foldable and support Apple’s Find My network for location tracking. They feature a 400W rear-wheel motor capable of 800W peak output and can climb inclines of up to 18%. Shared specifications include dual suspension, 10-inch tubeless tires, traction control, front and rear lights, indicators, and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile device integration.
The main distinction between the two versions lies in battery capacity and range. The Ninebot E3 carries a 276Wh battery, offering a range of up to 30 km in sport mode and 45 km in eco mode. The E3 Pro includes a larger 368Wh battery, delivering up to 40 km at top speed and 55 km in eco mode. An optional 184Wh range extender pushes the maximum range of the Pro to 80 km.
Despite the larger battery, the E3 Pro weighs only slightly more than its base counterpart — 17.9 kg versus 17.5 kg.
Segway introduced the E3 lineup as part of a broader 2025 product strategy targeting affordable micromobility options for urban environments. The presence of these models at European retailers signals the company’s continuing expansion in the commuter e-scooter segment.
