The Ioniq 9 is built in Ulsan, South Korea, and is one of the first non-Tesla vehicles in Canada to feature a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, enabling direct access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.

The vehicle supports ultra-fast charging thanks to Hyundai’s 800-volt electrical system. According to the company, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes using a compatible 350 kW DC fast charger.

The all-wheel-drive Preferred trim is priced at C$64,999, while the higher-performance Preferred AWD+ shares the same entry price. Additional premium offerings include the Preferred AWD with Luxury Package at C$76,499 and the top-tier AWD+ with Ultimate Calligraphy Package at C$81,499. All models are subject to a C$2,050 delivery and destination fee.

Power output ranges from 215 horsepower in the rear-wheel-drive variant to 422 hp in the dual-motor Preferred AWD+ trims. The SUV also has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds, with Hyundai’s trailer mode optimizing performance and range estimates for towing scenarios.
