General Motors has revised the driving range for the rear-wheel-drive 2024 Cadillac Lyriq to 308 miles, a slightly shorter range rating than the previous model-year vehicle with the same drivetrain configuration. The RWD 2023 Cadillac Lyriq was rated to travel an estimated maximum of 312 miles on a single charge.
On the other hand, the all-wheel-drive configuration of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq has been rated with a per-charge range of 307 miles. However, neither the EPA nor Cadillac itself has published a range estimate for the AWD 2023 Lyriq at this time, and it is uncertain if any 2023 model-year Lyriq AWD units will be produced.

Due to lengthy production delays, GM is shifting an unspecified number of 2023 Cadillac Lyriq orders to the 2024 model year. Cadillac had paused production and delivery to correct several quality issues discovered in the first-ever model year of the new electric vehicle. Customers with an order for 2023 models will receive an incentive to switch it over to the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq.
It appears that 2023 model-year Lyriq production consisted exclusively of Debut Edition units equipped with a rear-wheel drivetrain and a single electric motor producing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. These orders are scheduled to be fulfilled by the end of Q1 2023. Cadillac’s global vice president Rory Harvey recently stated during a media briefing that approximately 1,000 units of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq shipped during the 30 days ending on February 17th, 2023.
