General Motors (GM) is continuing to make the Chevy Bolt EV accessible to consumers despite the announced end of its production, offering the 2023 model for lease at an attractive price point. Priced at $299 per month for a 36-month lease, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV LT remains one of the most affordable electric vehicle (EV) options on the market. Interested parties are urged to act swiftly to take advantage of this opportunity.

GM CEO Mary Barra announced in April the decision to conclude production of the Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV, aligning with the company’s broader strategy of transitioning to Ultium-based electric models such as the Chevy Blazer EV, Silverado EV, and GMC Sierra EV. Despite initial disappointment among fans, Barra affirmed GM’s commitment to launching a Bolt model based on the Ultium platform in the future.

The forthcoming next-generation Bolt, set to arrive in 2025, will feature advancements aimed at delivering an enhanced driving, charging, and ownership experience. Notably, it will introduce LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries, marking a first for GM’s Ultium models in North America. This innovation is expected to contribute to cost-effectiveness, enabling GM to maintain the Bolt’s status as an affordable EV option.

Speaking at the Automotive Press Association in Detroit, Barra confirmed that the 2025 Bolt will be exclusively available in the EUV version. Meanwhile, the current Chevy Bolt EV, whose production concludes at the end of December, is being offered for lease at $299 per month for eligible lessees.

The lease deal for the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV LT requires a payment of $5,139 at signing, with a $0 security deposit. It is a nationwide offer, featuring an ultra-low mileage lease with 10,000 miles per year (30,000 total). Eligibility criteria include being a current lessee of a 2018 model year or newer vehicle, whether GM or non-GM, and taking delivery by January 2, 2024.

With this leasing opportunity, consumers can prepare for the arrival of Chevy’s next-generation Bolt in 2025.
