Zeeba, a California-based fleet leasing provider, is accelerating its transition to electric vehicles (EVs) by procuring nearly 250 EVs from Ford, including the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit models. The deal also includes AC chargers supplied by Ford for multiple locations in Southern California, with no specifics regarding the number of charging stations.
The charging stations will be equipped with software that enables over-the-air (OTA) software updates, ensuring continuous improvements and optimisation of Zeeba’s charging operations in the future. Zeeba aims to transition 50% of its fleet to EVs by 2024, and Ford’s vehicles, charging solutions, and software will help it reach that target.
Kayvon Marashi, Zeeba’s CEO, said, “The charging component to fleet electrification is critical, and we’re thrilled to work with Ford Pro to implement the charging infrastructure needed to meet our customers’ electric needs.”
Zeeba primarily serves small and medium-sized enterprises with its commercial leasing vehicles, providing a complete mobility package so that SMEs can concentrate on their products and customers. Last autumn, Zeeba signed an agreement with Canoo to purchase 5,450 EVs, with a binding commitment of 3,000 units by 2024.

Zeeba’s procurement of EVs from Ford is a significant step toward achieving its goal of transitioning its fleet to sustainable and efficient electric power. It also demonstrates a growing trend in the automotive industry toward electrification and the need for charging infrastructure to support it.
