Chevrolet has made a significant announcement that will thrill EV enthusiasts and speed aficionados alike. The all-new fully electric 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS is set to hit the market this fall, and it is poised to be a game-changer.

The Blazer EV SS is expected to be the first high-performance electric vehicle from Chevy, with an estimated horsepower of 557, making it a real speed demon. According to Scott Bell, the Vice President of Chevrolet, the Blazer SS has “the soul of a true sports car.”

The Blazer EV SS will be based on GM’s Ultium Platform and will have an estimated range of 290 miles. With an AWD system, the vehicle will offer 648 lb-ft of torque, making it a powerful contender on the road. The car also features a “Wide Open Watts” mode (WOW), which is similar to the GMC Hummer EV’s “Watts to Freedom” (WTF) mode, enabling the Blazer EV SS to go from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds.

The Blazer EV SS will be the most aggressive-looking design in the lineup, with a unique front grille, full LED lighting with a center light bar and illuminated “bowtie,” a two-tone color scheme with a black roof and A-pillars, and standard 22-inch wheels.

Chevrolet has recently released a video that showcases the Blazer EV SS’s impressive performance capabilities. The video features NASCAR drivers Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain, who take turns driving the Blazer EV SS at the Daytona International Speedway. The drivers test out the vehicle’s AWD system and the “Wide Open Watts” mode, both of which perform exceptionally well.

The Blazer EV SS will have a starting price of approximately $65,996, making it the highest-priced trim, followed by the RS ($51,995), the 2LT ($47,595), and the 1LT ($47,595).

Chevrolet’s introduction of the Blazer EV SS marks a significant milestone in the development of high-performance electric vehicles. The Blazer EV SS is poised to provide a unique driving experience that will change people’s perception of electric vehicles. It is a significant step in the right direction for Chevrolet, and it will be fascinating to see how the market responds to this powerful electric vehicle.
