Volkswagen UK has introduced new trim levels across its acclaimed ID. electric car range, offering enhanced features, improved affordability, and sporty driving dynamics. The updated trims, available for order from Thursday, November 21, bring a new entry-level battery option for select models alongside upgraded specifications.
The ID.3 hatchback gains two new trims: Pure Essential and Pure Match, both featuring a new 52 kWh battery. This entry-level battery delivers 170 PS of power and an approximate range of 240 miles. Charging capabilities include up to 145 kW DC, allowing a 10-80% charge in just 25 minutes. The Pure Match trim builds on the Essential with added features such as 18-inch East Derry alloy wheels, metallic paint, a comfort package (heated seats, navigation, two-zone air conditioning), a rear-view camera, and tinted windows. Prices start at £30,850 for the Pure Essential and £32,210 for the Pure Match.
The ID.4 Pure Match receives a notable price reduction of £3,090, now starting at £39,550. It also benefits from upgraded 19-inch Hamar alloy wheels, enhancing its value and appeal. Meanwhile, the ID.5 Pure Match debuts with the same 52 kWh battery as the ID.3 Pure trims, offering a range of 222 miles. Priced at £41,050, it includes 19-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, a comfort package, and other premium features.
Volkswagen is also launching the ID.4 GTX Edition and ID.5 GTX Edition trims, combining high performance with additional luxury features. Both models feature 340 PS of power, a 0-62 mph time of 5.4 seconds, and a top speed of 112 mph. Enhanced specifications include metallic paint, Assistance Pack Plus (area view camera, IQ. Drive Travel Assist, electric tailgate), and Interior Sport Pack Plus (ergoActive comfort seats with massage function and ArtVelours microfleece inserts). These models are priced competitively at £52,205 for the ID.4 GTX Edition and £53,705 for the ID.5 GTX Edition, delivering premium features worth approximately £6,500 if purchased separately.
