VinFast has officially launched the VF 6, its first electric model in the B-SUV segment, in Vietnam. With a competitive starting price of 675 million VND (approximately US$27,800), the VF 6 is now available for pre-order in the Vietnamese market, with deliveries expected to commence by the end of 2023.
VinFast is offering customers two trim options for the VF 6 in the Vietnamese market: Base and Plus. The base trim starts at 675 million VND (excluding the battery) or 765 million VND (approximately US$31,500) when including the battery. The Plus trim, on the other hand, starts at 765 million VND (excluding the battery) or 855 million VND (approximately US$35,200) with the battery.
To sweeten the deal for early adopters, VinFast is offering incentives of up to 20 million VND (approximately $824) to customers who place their orders between October 20th and 30th, 2023, and complete the purchase procedure within three months from the date VinFast begins delivering the VF 6. It’s important to note that this offer does not apply to customers who change the owner’s name in the purchase.
The VinFast VF 6 boasts impressive dimensions, with a length of 4,238mm, a width of 1,820mm, a height of 1,594mm, and a wheelbase of 2,730mm. These measurements provide ample interior space, comparable to that of C-segment internal combustion engine cars. The VF 6 also features an eye-catching exterior design, complete with VinFast’s distinctive LED light strip and attractive 5-spoke alloy wheels, which can be up to 19 inches in size.
Both the Base and Plus trims of the VF 6 are equipped with a 59.6 kW LFP battery, enabling a remarkable driving range of up to 399 km and 381 km, respectively, based on WLTP standards, on a full charge. The vehicle is powered by an electric motor that delivers a maximum power output of 100 kW and 150 kW for the Base and Plus trims, respectively, with maximum torque figures of 135 N·m and 310 N·m.
In early 2024, VinFast plans to roll out a significant update for the VF 6 Plus, free of charge and over the air. This update will integrate advanced driver assistance systems, including traffic jam assist, highway assist, lane keep assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, front/rear automatic emergency braking, and more, enhancing the vehicle’s safety and convenience features.
Like all VinFast electric vehicles, the VF 6 comes with a 7-year or 160,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty, along with Special Aftersales Policies and a commitment to buy back used electric cars after five years at an attractive price.
