International delivery company UPS has announced plans to integrate 100 all-electric Iveco eDaily vehicles into its fleet in Paris, as part of a larger strategy to expand its electric vehicle presence in Europe. UPS aims to have 600 electric delivery vehicles in operation across Europe by the end of the year.

While the press release does not specify whether the 100 electric vehicles have already been delivered or are scheduled for future deployment in Paris, UPS highlights that these transporters are “custom-made for UPS” and offer a range of up to 142 miles (228 kilometers).

Artur Drenk, UPS sustainability director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainable solutions, stating, “Our customers look to us for efficient, reliable, and sustainable supply chain solutions. Innovative technology like our EVs ensures that we meet our customers’ needs while reducing our environmental impact.”

UPS’ broader plan for Europe includes achieving a total of 600 electric delivery vehicles by the end of 2024. However, UPS has not specified whether this target includes vehicles already in service or only new additions to the fleet. Additionally, it remains unclear whether the fleet expansion will consist solely of electric transporters or if electric bikes or eQuads will also be incorporated. UPS currently uses eQuads in Cambridge.
