Chevrolet Blazer EV will fights to compete in the crowded compact and midsize electric SUV market

The Chevrolet Blazer electric SUV is considered very important for manufacturers to catch up with the popularity of Tesla’s cars that dominate the US and global electric vehicle markets.

Many manufacturers have launched electric vehicles such as SUVs. It is estimated that the SUV type electric vehicle can determine the dominance in the US car market for years to come.

AutoForecast Solutions, an auto industry data provider and analyst, said the electric SUV market in the US is projected to more than double to 2 million cars annually by 2026. It is estimated that there will be more than 90 electric SUV models competing for a very small slice of the pie.

The Model Y is the best-selling electric SUV. Most analysts expect Tesla’s flagship electric car to maintain its position for another four years.

LMC Automotive estimates that by 2025, the Tesla Model Y will account for 15.6 percent of the compact and midsize electric SUV segment of 13 car models, including Ford Motor’s Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Rivian’s R2S compact SUV.

The Chevrolet Blazer EV is expected to come in second, with 6.6 percent of car sales in the electric SUV segment.
