Tesla’s Cybertruck Retains Unique Single Windshield Wiper Blade, Drone Footage Confirms

Tesla’s Cybertruck has been making waves since its unveiling in 2019, and the latest evidence suggests that it will retain its unique single windshield wiper blade for the final retail version. Recent drone footage captured over the Gigafactory in Texas, where the first Cybertruck batches will be assembled in June, showed a live wiper spray test being conducted on the electric pickup.

The Cybertruck’s wiper blade, which is bolted onto the left side, is a monstrosity compared to traditional wipers. However, it gets the job done by cleaning a large part of the windshield area in one sweep, including the space in front of the driver and most of the passenger section. There is one small patch at the top right corner that the wiper cannot reach, but it is a minor flaw compared to its overall effectiveness.

The footage also showcased the shiny stainless steel body of the Cybertruck glistening in the Texas sun, as well as a bird’s eye view of the open flatbed and panoramic roof of Tesla’s first electric pickup truck. Despite the impressive display, many fans may have to wait a while before getting their hands on one, as there are currently over 1.8 million pre-order reservations for the Cybertruck, and production is not set to ramp up until 2024.

While some may find the Cybertruck’s single wiper blade to be an unusual design choice, it is just one of the many features that make this electric pickup stand out from the crowd. With its futuristic styling and impressive performance, the Cybertruck is sure to be a hit among Tesla fans and electric vehicle enthusiasts alike.
