Tesla Unveils Cybertruck Front Seats in New Video Teaser

In an exciting update, Tesla has shared a captivating video on its official Twitter page, showcasing the highly-anticipated Cybertruck’s front seats. Although the footage primarily focuses on Tesla’s seat testing robot in action, it is highly probable that the seats being tested belong to the Cybertruck.

There are two compelling reasons to support this assumption. Firstly, the seats displayed in the video differ significantly from those found in any other currently available Tesla model. Secondly, these seats feature the same power seat controls as seen in a previously leaked photo from May, which revealed the Cybertruck’s interior.

Those who recall the leaked interior photos from two months ago will notice a striking similarity between the white piping on the seats shown in the video and the previously exposed images. This consistency provides further evidence that the seats under scrutiny are indeed from the Cybertruck.

Accompanying the short film is a reassuring caption: “Our seat testing robot performs 50k ingress/egress cycles, equivalent to a lifetime of use.” This statement should alleviate any concerns prospective Tesla Cybertruck owners may have regarding the seats’ durability.

Although Tesla has not disclosed detailed information about the seats, we can make a few educated deductions based on our observations.

Similar to the front seats featured in the Model 3/Y and Model S/X, these Cybertruck seats appear to incorporate separate headrests. However, the integration of the headrests into the overall seat design seems to be more seamless, evoking a sporty aesthetic. Additionally, the backrest of the Cybertruck seats seems to offer substantially more side bolstering, which is highly advantageous, especially if these bolsters are adjustable.

Upon inspection, the upholstery appears to be vegan leather, a material consistently used across Tesla’s current lineup. Given this consistency, it is reasonable to assume that the Cybertruck will also feature this eco-friendly upholstery option.

Considering that we are discussing a pickup truck, it is expected that the Cybertruck seats will be larger than those found in other Tesla models. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine this solely based on the video footage. Typically, truck seats are designed to be more spacious and durable, and it is highly likely that the Cybertruck seats will follow suit.

It is worth highlighting that Tesla manufactures its seats at a dedicated seat factory located adjacent to the Fremont Factory in Northern California.

As a reminder, Tesla recently announced the completion of the first Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas on July 15. The eagerly anticipated handover event is scheduled to occur towards the end of the third quarter, according to CEO Elon Musk’s statement in April.
